Highlights from last year’s tournament

22 teams took part in a round-robin style tournament at Powerleague Shoreditch, with the winners from each group going through to quarters, semis and finals in head-to-head matches. The runners up when through to play for the plate trophy in a similar format.

The weather was perfect – sunshine all afternoon which made the outdoor BBQ and bar even more enjoyable!

We finished the day with networking drinks in the City to celebrate the tournament, nurse some aches, and to bring the insurance market together after a big week of insurtech content and events.

Congratulations to Travelers for winning last year’s tournament!

Exceptionally well organised, enjoyed the football and champagne… looking forward to returning next year and defending the crown!

Thank you all for your efforts in creating such a well organised and thought-out football tournament. Despite the aches and pain endured during the highly competitive games, myself and the rest of the Brit Team thoroughly enjoyed the day. From goodie bags on entry to sustenance throughout and a networking social to round off, I must say the day was a great success with high enthusiasm within the Brit camp for future tournaments. I have no doubt the momentum generated from this opening tournament will spring board to become the leading sporting event in the market.
